Job Title: Commissioning Engineer

Location: California & Texas, US

Travel: 80%

Our client is a leading vertically integrated manufacturer of grid scale battery energy storage systems.

About the Role:

As the Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning and testing of power generation projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and ensuring successful project execution.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the commissioning and testing of power generation projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Work with inverters, transformers, and switchgear to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize SCADA systems and communication protocols for project execution.
• Conduct site visits and provide hands-on support (75% travel).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in commissioning or systems engineering in power generation.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning and testing power generation projects.
• Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or medium voltage stations preferred.
• Proficiency in SCADA systems and communication protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel extensively.
