Job Title: Director of Grid Integration & Interconnection

About the Role:

As the Director of Grid Integration & Interconnection, you will be responsible for identifying and assessing transmission development opportunities for both standalone and integrated renewable energy projects. You will lead interconnection processes, negotiate transmission agreements, and serve as the expert on transmission market design and regulations, guiding the company strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess transmission development opportunities for standalone and integrated renewable energy projects.
• Negotiate transmission agreements with utilities and partners.
• Evaluate project sites based on transmission factors.
• Lead interconnection processes, including evaluations, applications, and negotiations.
• Analyze Locational Marginal Pricing (LMP) and congestion trends.
• Ensure turbines comply with electrical system requirements.
• Serve as the expert on transmission market design and regulations, guiding company strategy.
• Direct the development and design of key switchyard and transmission line projects.
• Identify new transmission project opportunities.
• Act as the primary contact with utilities and Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs).

Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a focus on Power Systems.
• 10+ years of experience in Transmission Planning within a utility or ISO.
• Professional Engineer certification preferred.
