Our client is a leading developer and operator in the renewable energy sector, dedicated to advancing utility-scale energy storage projects nationwide.

About the Role:

As the Director of Project Development, you will be responsible for facilitating the development of standalone utility-scale energy storage projects from the initial stages through to completion. This includes identifying sites, negotiating with landowners, managing the interconnection procedure, and securing necessary permits. You will also coordinate tasks within budget and timeline constraints, aligning with both internal and external technical resources, and supporting commercial and developmental objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate project development from initial to final stages.
• Identify sites and negotiate with landowners.
• Manage the interconnection procedure, utilizing technical expertise as needed.
• Secure necessary local, state, and federal permits.
• Coordinate tasks within budget and timeline constraints, aligning with both internal and external technical resources.
• Support commercial and developmental objectives.

Experience Required:

• At least 5 years of renewable energy project development experience.
• Energy storage sector experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with development processes in NYISO, ISO-NE, or PJM regions.
• Proven capability to lead projects from conception to operational status.
