About the Role:

As the Director of Grid Integration & Interconnection, you will be responsible for identifying and assessing transmission development opportunities for both standalone and integrated renewable energy projects. You will lead interconnection processes, negotiate transmission agreements, and serve as the expert on transmission market design and regulations, guiding the company strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess transmission development opportunities for standalone and integrated renewable energy projects.
• Negotiate transmission agreements with utilities and partners.
• Evaluate project sites based on transmission factors.
• Lead interconnection processes, including evaluations, applications, and negotiations.
• Analyze Locational Marginal Pricing (LMP) and congestion trends.
• Ensure turbines comply with electrical system requirements.
• Serve as the expert on transmission market design and regulations, guiding company strategy.
• Direct the development and design of key switchyard and transmission line projects.
• Identify new transmission project opportunities.
• Act as the primary contact with utilities and Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs).

Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a focus on Power Systems.
• 10+ years of experience in Transmission Planning within a utility or ISO.
• Professional Engineer certification preferred.

About the Role:

As the Director of Permitting, you will manage discretionary land use and natural resources permitting to support the company’s development portfolio on the West Coast. You will be responsible for acquiring necessary permits, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and working closely with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Manage discretionary land use and natural resources permitting for the development portfolio on the West Coast.
• Acquire land use permits such as conditional use permits, special use permits, zoning changes, franchise agreements, and plan amendments.
• Obtain federal Rights-of-Way in California.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
• Work closely with internal teams, external consultants, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate project approvals.

Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, land use planning, ecology, geography, or a similar field.
• 10+ years of experience in compliance management and permitting in the renewable energy sector, preferably utility-scale Solar PV and BESS.
• Skilled in acquiring land use permits such as conditional use permits, special use permits, zoning changes, franchise agreements, and plan amendments.
• Experience with federal Rights-of-Way in California.

As the Director of Project Development, you will be responsible for facilitating the development of standalone utility-scale energy storage projects from the initial stages through to completion. This includes identifying sites, negotiating with landowners, managing the interconnection procedure, and securing necessary permits. You will also coordinate tasks within budget and timeline constraints, aligning with both internal and external technical resources, and supporting commercial and developmental objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate project development from initial to final stages.
• Identify sites and negotiate with landowners.
• Manage the interconnection procedure, utilizing technical expertise as needed.
• Secure necessary local, state, and federal permits.
• Coordinate tasks within budget and timeline constraints, aligning with both internal and external technical resources.
• Support commercial and developmental objectives.

Experience Required:

• At least 5 years of renewable energy project development experience.
• Energy storage sector experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with development processes in NYISO, ISO-NE, or PJM regions.
• Proven capability to lead projects from conception to operational status.
